Actually, the hookah has a long history, originating in India and finding popularity in the Middle East. Today, it’s gaining a following among teens and young adults, with college kids really taking to the trend.

For those not in the know, a hookah is essentially a water pipe, resembling an ancient form of the bong — with a few differences. (more…)

Michael Douglas's CancerThe Wall Street star admits his drinking and smoking is to blame for stage 4 throat cancer.

We’ve all seen the warnings about the dangers of smoking, excessive drinking and drugs. They appear on the packaging, on signs at bars and on advertisements for those products. Despite all that, most of us imagine it will happen to “someone else.”

Michael Douglas’s Throat Cancer

Actor Michael Douglas’s recent revelation that he’s battling throat cancer was a sobering reminder that it can happen to anyone.
